First ‘The Mummy 4’ Set Photos Officially Reunite Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz

Shrishty is a decade-old journalist covering a variety of beats between politics to pop culture, but movies are her first love, which led her to study Film and TV Development at UCLAx. She lives and breathes cinema and sometimes wakes up with the close-up shot of Ryan Gosling’s hands playing piano in La La Land, in her head.

She has worked with numerous media outlets, including Burda Media (MSN News), DKODING Media, The Voice of Fashion, Hindustan Times, and more. Throughout her career, she has interviewed an array of people, from CEOs and politicians to filmmakers and farmers.

The Mummy franchise provided a window for many millennials into the Egyptian world of mummies and curses. It also gave us the electric pairing of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, who made the world more believable and exciting. For the uninitiated, Fraser returned to our screens a couple of years ago with a heart-wrenching performance in The Whale.

Fraser has an illustrious filmography, but since his Oscar win, fans have seen him in a variety of roles like Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-winning The Killers of Flower Moon as a bombastic, corrupt defense lawyer representing Robert De Niro’s character, and took a comedic turn in Brothers. Earlier this year, he appeared in Pressure, a historical D-Day ticking-clock thriller garnering praise from fans. But The Mummy stays as his most beloved project. And a fourth movie is already in the works.

The Mummy 4, now officially titled The Mummy: Book of the Dead, is set for a 2028 release, almost 30 years after the original film came to screens in 1999. Horror film-making collective Radio Silence, who are the minds behind 2024’s Abigail, are set to direct the new film, from a script penned by **David Coggeshall **(Orphan: First Kill). While most details are under wraps, the fourth movie will reportedly pick up after the events of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns and will disregard the events of 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and rightfully so, given it was the lowest-grossing and most poorly reviewed of the three films and didn’t have Weisz.

Your instincts, your strengths, and your particular way of thinking under pressure point to one villain you actually have a fighting chance against. Everyone else — good luck.

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.
