Netflix is finally making one of TV’s best sci-fi horror series easier to watch. Originally premiering in 2022 on Epix (now MGM+), the show follows a group of strangers trapped in a mysterious small town they can’t escape. As they struggle to survive and find a way out, terrifying, smiling creatures emerge from the surrounding forest at night to hunt them. But that’s only part of the nightmare: they soon discover their situation is even more terrible than they imagined.
From, which boasts an average critics’ score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, last aired toward the end of June, with a twisty finale that left the townspeople with an even more terrifying fate and once again dashed their hopes of ever finding a way home. Harold Perrineau** **leads the bingeable series as Boyd Stevens, the town’s self-appointed sheriff, who does his best to get everyone home. Eion Bailey, Catalina Sandino Moreno, David Alpay, Ricky He, Elizabeth Saunders, Scott McCord, and **Chloe Van Landschoot **also star.
From is officially coming to Netflix months ahead of its fifth and final season. However, there’s a catch: the streamer will carry only the first three seasons for a limited time. That said, Netflix announced on X (formerly Twitter) that From arrives on October 19, 2026, as part of a short-term licensing deal. The move is part of a promotional window in anticipation of Season 5, set to air on MGM+ in 2027. Season 4 unfortunately isn’t included in the deal, but viewers can watch it on MGM+ along with Seasons 1-3.
Four franchises, four completely different ways of getting underneath your skin. This is the one built out of your particular fear, why it works so well on you, and what it would leave behind.
Your nightmare does not wait outside the door. It waits for you to close your eyes, which you are going to have to do eventually, because nobody has ever won that particular argument.
Your nightmare is not really the doll. It is the face of the person you tell, and the way they decide, very kindly, that you have imagined all of it.
Your nightmare has your number, knows your name, and has almost certainly been inside your house before. The worst part is that you already know them.
Your nightmare is not really about you. It is about the people asleep down the hall, and the feeling that whatever is here is not interested in leaving.
The mystery series was renewed for Season 5** **on April 15, 2026, less than a week before Season 4 premiered. An exact premiere date hasn’t been announced, but production began in early July in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is expected to wrap on November 28. From star Ricky He, who plays Deputy Kenny Liu, marked the start of Season 5 production with an Instagram post captioned, “We’re starting to shoot season 5 btw,” playfully adding “anghkookies.” “Anghkookies” is an amusing reference to the word “anghkooey,” which holds major significance in the show’s lore. Co-star Hannah Cheramy, who portrays rebellious and confused teenager Julie Matthews, also confirmed the news in an Instagram Story featuring several fan-favorite cast members gathered around a table, each studying their own screen, likely reviewing scripts.
