In the last couple of years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has developed a dark corner for horror lovers. ***What If…? ***season 1 brought in an episode featuring zombies that went on to become its own show, ***Marvel Zombies, ***which saw a group of survivors who risk their lives fighting superpowered zombies to save the world. Then Agatha All Along, a WandaVision spin-off, became an absolute blast with fans, featuring various witches and their coven, making it a one-of-a-kind show in the MCU. Beforethat, ***Doctor Strange ***and its follow-up, Multiverse of Madness, gave fans a taste of the multiversal horror to come.

Among such beloved shows is also Oscar Issac’s Moon Knight, which showcased ancient Egyptian mythology, themes of mental health, and gritty, spooky elements, proving a worthy psychological/supernatural miniseries. But the most beloved horror feature that was universally loved by fans is Werewolf by Night. Directed by Michael Giacchino and written by Heather Quinn and Peter Cameron, it stars Gael García Bernal** **as Jack Russell/Werewolf by Night.

The Marvel Special Presentation follows a secret group of monster hunters as they compete for a powerful relic while fighting a dangerous monster. Giacchino’s direction gave the special presentation a very distinct visual style, using practical effects, black-and-white cinematography, and a killer score. Thanks to the crisp production and brilliant performances from Bernal and Laura Donnelly, critics and fans gave the special positive reviews, with** Rotten Tomatoes **scores of 90% and 88%, respectively.

Your instincts, your strengths, and your particular way of thinking under pressure point to one villain you actually have a fighting chance against. Everyone else — good luck.

Jason is relentless, but he is also predictable — and that is the gap you would exploit.

Michael watches before he moves. He is patient, methodical, and almost impossible to detect — until it’s too late for anyone who isn’t paying close enough attention.

Freddy wins by getting inside your head — using your own fears, your own memories, your own subconscious as weapons against you. That strategy requires a target who can be destabilised.

Pennywise is ancient, shapeshifting, and feeds on terror — but it has one critical vulnerability: it cannot function against someone who genuinely stops being afraid of it.

Chucky’s greatest advantage is that nobody takes him seriously until it’s already too late. He exploits the gap between how something looks and what it actually is.

While the TV feature was a one-time event, its popularity has left many fans yearning for another installment of Werewolf by Night. While the studio has stayed mum on the subject for a long time, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum, the producer behind Marvel’s current shows, recently gave fans a brilliant update. Speaking to ComicBook, the producer revealed that the sequel is high on his wish list. He explained, “One-shots and the special presentations get to do the same thing, which is like, find a weird corner of the universe… I love Werewolf by Night. I really want to make a Werewolf by Night Season 2 or Part Two: if Disney will let me… So now you know. We’ll see. You never know. It’s like everything has to go into development and find its footing. But certainly, I want to make more.”
