Apple TV's Most Ambitious Sci-Fi Event Officially Premieres in 100 Days

On December 18 — the same release date as Avengers: Doomsday — Dune: Part Three will explode into theaters worldwide, as Denis Villeneuve’s award-winning adaptation of Frank Herbert’s **Dune **novels comes to an unmissable end. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides for one last time, supported by the likes of Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Rebecca Ferguson.

What makes this final entry in the trilogy all the more remarkable is considering just how “unfilmable” the original stories were once considered, with the scope, scale, and depth of this epic political space opera seen as impossible to translate from the page to the screen. Even the great David Lynch couldn’t manage the feat, but advances in filmmaking ambition and technology turned the unlikely into a reality. But *Dune *isn’t the only source material once deemed unfilmable that is getting its screen adaptation.

In 100 days, Neuromancer will debut on Apple TV, turning William Gibson’s novel into a 10-part series, 40 years on. On January 22, 2027, *Neuromancer *will premiere as the next must-watch sci-fi show on the streamer, following the likes of Silo, ***Foundation, ***and Severance. Graham Roland and J. D. Dillard are adapting the novel for television, with Gibson onboard as an executive producer and Dillard directing the first three episodes. A logline reads, “A damaged hacker named Case, thrust into digital espionage and high-stakes crime with Molly, pulling a heist on corporate dynasty.”
