Who doesn’t love a mystery? Over the past couple of years, the most indulgent, unmissable mysteries have taken place on Netflix. Whether it’s the latest installment in Rian Johnson’s award-winning*** Knives Out ***series, titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the latest in a long line of Agatha Christie adaptations, Seven Dials, or the 2025 crime noir Dept. Q, Netflix hosts some of the very best crime shows perfect for a binge-watch.

In the past twelve months, no mystery series has quite caught global attention like I Will Find You, the latest Harlan Coben adaptation in a multi-year collaboration with Netflix. Starring Avatar’s Sam Worthington and Severance’s Britt Lower, the series follows one father’s hunt for the truth after he was wrongfully imprisoned for his son’s murder, after he receives evidence that suggests his child is still alive. So popular was the series that it became one of Netflix’s top ten most-watched English original scripted shows of all time, dethroning Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson’s other 2026 hit, His & Hers.

Netflix certainly isn’t afraid of continuing its most popular shows, but even the biggest of Coben’s previous adaptations have remained at just a single season. So could Coben ever be enticed to make a second season of I Will Find You, considering just how popular the first became? In an interview with Collider’s Jake Hodges, the author admitted the one condition on which he could write a second season. “So the deal Netflix has let me do with them is that** I’m not going to do a Season 2 unless I think it can be better than Season 1**,” Coben admitted, although he did wonder, “how can I top being arrested for the murder of your own kid?”

Four Netflix characters, four completely different ways of showing up for somebody. This is the one who fits how you actually do friendship, and what having them in your life would be like.

You do not do friendship at half volume, and neither does he. What you want is somebody who says yes to the plan before you have finished describing the

You are the friend who makes things happen, and so is she. Together you would be mildly exhausting to everyone around you and completely delighted with

You have no patience for pleasant lies, and she has no ability to tell them. What looks like coldness from the outside is the most reliable friendship on this

You look after whoever is having the worst day. So does he. It is the least strategic way to move through the world and the best possible quality in a friend.
