Whether it’s through crafting one of modern TV’s most sprawling franchises in **Yellowstone **or delivering unmissable streaming sensations, including the likes of Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and The Madison, Taylor Sheridan’s importance and impact on 21st-century television cannot be overstated. Of his many gripping shows, the most pulse-racing and intense is arguably Lioness, the story of a group of female operatives facing the war on terror.

The series, which is led by **Zoe Saldaña **as CIA senior case officer Joe McNamara, had already impressed global fans in its first two seasons, before the third hit streaming earlier this year and kept up Sheridan’s streak of dominating the Paramount+ charts. Also featuring the likes of Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, and LaMonica Garrett, the third season didn’t just pack a punch with its star power, earning widespread critical praise, including a review by ScreenRant’s Cher Thompson, who said that the “show’s newest season could easily become its best yet.”

On September 20, the ever-twisting and turning third season came to an explosive end, as a wider plot was uncovered by Joe, leading to a finale cliffhanger that will change both the personal and professional life of the show’s protagonist forever. Eight days have now passed since this finale, and it’s still all that most Paramount+ subscribers can talk about. Because of this — and despite losing its place at the streaming summit to ***South Park America ***— *Lioness *is still hitting new milestones for Sheridan. At the time of writing, the series has hit the 200-day mark on the top ten most-watched shows on Paramount+ in the U.S.

Four icons and four completely different ways of walking into trouble. This is the one you would have been out there, why it fits, and what it would have cost you.

You have never explained yourself and you have never needed to, because people work out fairly quickly that you are the most capable person in the room without you ever having to mention it.

You are the funniest person in most rooms and the most loyal person in all of them, and you would be genuinely insulted if somebody suggested those two things were in any tension.

You never wanted this job, and you took it anyway because the alternative was standing there watching somebody less careful do it badly, which is the most Western reason there has ever been.

Nobody has ever successfully talked you out of something you had already decided was right, and a long line of grown adults has found that out the hard way.
