Adam Blevins began working in the entertainment industry in 2022 as a Staff Writer for Agents of Fandom, where he progressed to Senior Editor and interviewed talent from Marvel Studios, House of the Dragon, and Planet of the Apes. He joined Collider as a News Author in April 2024, was promoted to a Senior position in December 2024, and has written over 3,000 articles for the site, including exclusives relating to Avengers: Doomsday, The Penguin, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and more. He primarily writes about the latest box office numbers and the hottest movies and TV shows on streaming, while also covering superhero and sci-fi news. 2026 hasn’t exactly been a banner year for Ridley Scott, though there was plenty of optimism surrounding his return to the sci-fi genre with The Dog Stars. Unfortunately, Scott’s new movie was recently booted from over 2,000 screens, as neither theaters nor the studio could justify having it continue playing with so few people showing up to screenings. Scott is soon to begin shooting a new Treasure Island remake with Hugh Jackman, and during the press tour for The Dog Stars, he even admitted that he’s eyeing Hugh Grant and Owen Cooper for key roles in the film. Scott is one of the most accomplished filmmakers of all time, but his last few movies have struggled to gain traction at the box office, so he’s sorely due for a hit if he’s going to continue directing films.

Ridley Scott has directed dozens of box office smash hits over the years and produced even more, but one of the most surprising flops of his career is finally gaining traction on streaming. While Alien is often thought of as Scott’s most iconic sci-fi thriller, some would argue that the title belongs to Blade Runner, the 1982 R-rated classic starring Harrison Ford. Scott did not return to direct the 2017 legacy sequel, Blade Runner 2049, but he made the right choice, letting Denis Villeneuve direct the film. For Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049 kicked off a run that includes three Dune movies and the next James Bond. Almost 10 years removed from the underwhelming premiere of Blade Runner 2049, the film has found success this month streaming on Paramount+ as one of the most-watched movies in America.

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
