Guy Ritchie has directed so many iconic action movies over the years that fans could spend hours arguing about his most famous feature, but he’s quietly becoming the king of streaming with multiple hits as the year draws to a close. Most fans would agree that Ritchie’s work on the Sherlock Holmes franchise with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law is among the most important work of his career, and he even returned to the genre earlier this year for a new prequel series, Young Sherlock. Prime Video released all episodes of Young Sherlock as a binge back in March, and the show did well enough to earn a rare Season 2 renewal. Ritchie is even reuniting with action icon Jason Statham for a new movie, but the film is not coming to theaters until the first few weeks of 2028.

2026 has been a busy year for Guy Ritchie even after his work on* Young Sherlock*, as he’s worked on new movies and TV shows that are finding new life on streaming. First and foremost is In The Grey, the new action thriller starring Henry Cavill that bombed at the box office with less than $30 million cumulatively. The film has since gone on to become a massive streaming success on Starz in America, where it’s sitting at #1 on watchlists. Ritchie also has the #1 show in the world on Paramount Plus right now courtesy of MobLand, his hit crime thriller show starring Tom Hardy. Over on Netflix, the second season of Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen is still in the top 10, though it’s slowly losing steam as more time passes from its premiere.

Four criminal masterminds. One of them was always going to be yours. Here is who comes for you, why they picked you out of everyone available, and what they want from

Your nemesis does not want to beat you. He wants to know you completely, and he is patient enough to wait for it. The frightening part is how good the conversation is.

Your nemesis is not after money, territory or revenge. He is after a demonstration, and you are the person he has chosen to prove his point on.

Your nemesis respects you, which sounds flattering until you work out what it means. He chose you because nobody else was worth his time.

Your nemesis has no personal interest in you whatsoever, and that is precisely what makes him unsurvivable. You are not a rival. You are a stop on the way.
