HBO’s Harry Potter series has teased something new for fans as the upcoming TV series arrives in just a few months. Season 1 will adapt the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which was adapted into a movie in 2001 and tells the story of Harry Potter’s first year at Hogwarts. As the first book to introduce readers to the Wizarding world, it has one key item it still hasn’t revealed.

Harry Potter is a media franchise based on **J.K. Rowling’**s novels of the same name, which follow a young boy named Harry Potter, who learns he’s a wizard. From there, he goes to Hogwarts, a school that teaches young wizards and witches to hone their magic abilities, and befriends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone covers the first year of Hogwarts, including Harry visiting the Wizarding World for the first time.

One of the most magical moments in* Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone *was when Harry Potter got his first wand at Ollivander’s. While the films already showed these magical tools, the upcoming HBO series will redesign them. Harry Potter’s official social media channels have shown how the series will interpret its designs. The wands shown in the post belonged to Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and Neville Longbottom. While the descriptions remained the same, the HBO show also made noticeable alterations, such as Neville Longbottom’s wand appearing like a white twig in the HBO show, whereas in the films it was a more refined wooden wand with a darker grip at the bottom.
