Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.

For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things Bosch, Mission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider’s news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.

He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.

His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan’s work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

There are dysfunctional families, some of which even some of us belong to. And then there are families where disagreements tend to end with somebody being shot, tortured, or dumped in a river. This lot aren’t going to be heading to family therapy any time soon, but they could probably do with a session or two. And that’s probably why audiences have come flocking back to them.

Season 2 finds the Harrigans attempting to present a united front while their criminal empire begins attracting new rivals. Harry Da Souza is once again stuck in the middle, with the family’s fixer forced to navigate growing internal tensions at the same time as outside forces begin circling their increasingly vulnerable operation.

Hardy returns as Harry alongside Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye) as Conrad Harrigan and Helen Mirren (The Queen) as Maeve Harrigan. The cast also includes Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Lara Pulver (Sherlock), Anson Boon (Pistol), Mandeep Dhillon (After Life), Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy), Johnny Flynn (Ripley), Ophelia Lovibond (Minx), Janet McTeer (Ozark), and Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger).

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Earlier in the year, there were reports that Hardy had been dismissed from the series following clashes with showrunner Jez Butterworth, and unprofessional behavior, but speaking on the speculation at the London premiere of MobLand Season 2, Brosnan dismissed the controversy surrounding his co-star as a “storm in a teacup” and adding that nothing that went on had affected the cast or their ability to work together:

“Oh my God, it was a storm in a teacup, really. I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy. I’m a massive fan of the man’s work. Truly. We are rock solid as a company, as a family. Everyone shows up for work, and everybody’s just there on the spot. It moves very fast so it’s not like we go out and socialise and go to the pub or anything like that.”

MobLand Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Paramount+, with new Season 2 episodes arriving Fridays. MobLand has been renewed for a third season, with production expected to begin in the near future.
