A cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he’s an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, ’70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, ’90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they’re good, and maybe even more when they’re bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed “Canuxploitation.”
An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.

Bella Ramsey has spent two seasons evading deadly fungal zombies and even deadlier human survivors on HBO’s The Last of Us. Now, they’re in a life-or-death struggle of a different kind in the coming-of-age cancer dramedy Sunny Dancer. Collider is proud to exclusively present a preview clip from the movie before it hits North American theaters this week. Sunny Dancer stars Ramsey as Ivy Pritchard, a 17-year-old cancer survivor whose disease is in remission. As she struggles to make connections with her classmates, her parents (Baby Reindeer’s Jessica Gunning and House of the Dragon’s James Norton) send her to CRF Camp, a program for minors with cancer.
There, she finds people she has something in common with, including camp president Patrick (Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother), and campers Ella (Ruby Stokes, Bridgerton), Ralph (Earl Cave, Dune: Prophecy), and Archie (Conrad Khan, Peaky Blinders). She soon forms a special connection with fellow camper Jake (Daniel Quinn-Toye, Sterling Point), but she’s about to discover just how fleeting life can be. The film was released in theaters earlier this year in the UK, and currently holds a sterling 88% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In the clip, Ivy’s parents drop her off at the camp, with her mother doing her best to ingratiate her daughter with the other campers in the most humiliating way possible, while also maybe getting her in trouble already with camp head Patrick. Says writer-director George Jaques, “Embarrassing mother alert! Check out the incomparable Jessica Gunning and Bella Ramsey in this hilarious exclusive clip from my new film Sunny Dancer. The chemistry Jessica and Bella have on screen is the relationship we all hope to have in our lives. In this clip, Jessica is the protective mama bear eager to embarrass her child. Strictly out of pure love.” Can Ivy recover from this? You can find out for yourself when Sunny Dancer premieres in North American theaters starting tomorrow, September 18.

The film’s music was composed by Zachary Dawes (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and by Este Haim (One Night Only), one-third of the band Haim. Musician James Blunt also cameos as himself.
