A cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he’s an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, ’70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, ’90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they’re good, and maybe even more when they’re bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed “Canuxploitation.”

An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.

From the deepest reaches of the galaxy comes a new retro-styled action figure line that’s sure to make you the envy of every kid on the playground. The Planetoid Raiders are heading to Earth, and now they’re being heralded by their own theme song. Collider is proud to exclusively reveal the Love Theme from Planetoid Raiders before their Kickstarter campaign kicks off.

Inspired by Kenner’s early Star Wars action figures and their knock-off competitors, the Starroid Raiders, the Planetoid Raiders are a retro-style collection of off-the-wall aliens. Created by Wandering Planet Toys and masterminded by animation and comics writers Chris “Doc” Wyatt and Gavin Hignight (Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), the Planetoid Raiders are a collection of 1:18-scale action figures with vintage-styled sculpting, accessories, and articulation, including Captain Oton, heroic Helmsman Ryot, WarLor the Mysterious Space Traveler, the trusty rusty robot Yogun, and more. They’ll be available both on vintage-style cardbacks and in a metal lunchbox-style collectors’ case. The Kickstarter is not just launching with the standard Planetoid Raiders; they’re also introducing the Arcade Raiders, blind-boxed figures packaged in a retro arcade cabinet-shaped box. The Kickstarter will launch with a single Arcade Raider, but as their funding milestones are hit, more of them will be unlocked.

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
