Matthew McConaughey's Forgotten Crime Hit Is Officially Leaving Streaming

Last week, Matthew McConaughey made something of an acting comeback with The Rivals of Amziah King, a neo-Western crime movie that debuted in around 600 theaters nationwide and has so far grossed a little under $2 million. It marks McConaughey’s first live-action role in a theatrical feature since 2019’s The Gentlemen. During these last seven years, the Oscar-winner voiced the lead character in Sing 2 and headlined the Apple TV thriller The Lost Bus, directed by Paul Greengrass. McConaughey transitioned from matinée idol status to critical darling some time in the 2010s, culminating in an Oscar win for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club, and a lead role in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. The movie in question is currently streaming in the United States on Peacock, but only for a little while longer.
