105-Minute Taken Meets John Wick Action Thriller Is One Of Prime Video's Biggest Hits

An action thriller from 2025 that’s been compared to *Taken *and John Wick has become a hit on Prime Video almost a year later. Both the *Taken *and John Wick franchises have been blockbusters for the action thriller genre, with the former releasing three films (which collectively grossed $929.4 million at the box office) and a TV series. John Wick, meanwhile, has proven to be very popular with a $1.17 billion franchise that includes four movies, a spinoff film, a TV show and more installments on the way.

A more recent action thriller whose storyline feels like a mashup of those two properties is Stolen Girl, which stars Kate Beckinsale as a mother named Maureen Dabbagh and Scott Eastwood as Robeson, a former Marine helping her try to find her 6-year-old daughter, who’s taken by her ex-husband. Karim and Maureen’s daughter have left the country, and Maureen will do whatever it takes to get her child back. Fortunately for her, Robeson has experience dealing with abducted kids, but the unlikely duo faces shocking scandals, corruption and betrayals.
