A cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he’s an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, ’70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, ’90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they’re good, and maybe even more when they’re bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed “Canuxploitation.”

An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.

Fall is fast approaching, and there’s time to get one last camping trip in before the weather starts to get too cold. Here’s a tip: try not to camp near the nesting grounds of a giant, prehistoric, man-eating arachnid. That’s advice that goes unheeded in the new horror comedy Don’t Move, which hits theaters next month. Today, Collider is proud to present an exclusive featurette from the film, in which the cast talks about their prior experiences in the horror genre.

Don’t Move (which is not to be confused with the Kelsey Asbille-Finn Wittrock thriller of the same name that came out in 2024) centers around a church group led by Pastor Rizzo (Tom Cavanagh, The Flash) that heads out for remote Davies Canyon for their annual trip…only to take a wrong turn and end up somewhere else entirely. Somewhere that houses an ancient creature that’s very, very hungry. Soon, it’s up to Megan Forrester (Lyndsy Fonseca, Nikita), who recently lost her husband and son in a nightmarish fire, to overcome her trauma and get the survivors to safety. The problem is that the forest is shrouded in spiderwebs, and the only way they’ll escape the creature is if they…don’t move. It is set to be released in theaters nationwide on September 11.

In our exclusive featurette, the film’s stars are asked about their previous connections to the horror genre. Fonseca, who says that horror prepared her for important events in her life, is no horror neophyte: she starred in monster maestro John Carpenter’s most recent feature, 2010’s The Ward. Hunter King (Life in Pieces), likewise, is a horror veteran, and met her boyfriend on the set of a horror movie. Joseph Lee Anderson (Young Rock) is a horror fan who’s excited to finally star in a fright flick, as is **Russell “Russ” Vitale **(Trap). It’s all new to funnyman Rob Riggle (Step Brothers), however, who found the experience terrifying in all the best ways.

Don’t Move is adapted from the 2020 horror novel of the same name by James S. Murray and Darren Wearmouth; Murray is best known for starring on the comedy series Impractical Jokers. It will be helmed by experienced director Maclain Nelson (Haul Out the Holly), who also adapted the novel with Murray and Wearmouth.
