The series was created by Hank Steinberg and Steven Kane, with the late Eric Dane in the lead role. It was executive-produced by none other than Michael Bay; remember, this was Bay at his peak, having delivered two Transformers movies — Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Transformers: Age of Extinction — that grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. The show, on the other hand, premiered in 2014 and ran for five seasons until 2018.
