Right now is a great time to be a Tomb Raider fan, even though many long-time lovers of the franchise would argue that the golden days are long in the past. Prime Video is hard at work developing a live-action Tomb Raider series under the watchful eye of writer/producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who recently starred opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Prime Video has enlisted Sophie Turner, famed for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, to star as Lara Croft in this new generation of *Tomb Raider *stories. *Tomb Raider fans are also waiting in the wings for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which is a ground-up remake of the original Tomb Raider *game that first released all the way back in the 1990s.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is currently scheduled to be released on February 12, 2027. The game was previously going to launch at the end of 2026, but it was delayed to early 2027 earlier this year to give the development team extra time to make sure everything is fully polished. Another game that was hit with a disappointing delay earlier this year is Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the brand-new Tomb Raider game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Amazon Game Studios. When Legacy of Atlantis was pushed back to 2027, Catalyst was also delayed to 2028 after previously being expected to launch next year. While it’s still without an official spot on the schedule, new reports surfaced online this week indicating that it will be released in the first four months of 2028, barring any future unforeseen delays.
Your answers point to the iconic universe your values, your instincts, and your particular way of seeing the world were built for. This is where you would find your people — and your purpose.
You believe in the cause — in the idea that freedom is worth fighting for even when the odds are impossible and the empire is vast.
You understand, in the deepest part of yourself, that the journey matters as much as the destination — and that the world’s beauty is worth protecting even at great cost.
You believe that love, loyalty, and doing what’s right are not naive sentiments — they are the most powerful forces in any world, magical or otherwise.
You see the world clearly — its power structures, its hypocrisies, its brutal arithmetic — and you are not paralysed by that clarity. You use it.
You believe the future is worth building — that curiosity, cooperation, and the expansion of understanding are not just ideals but the most practical path forward for any civilisation.
Starring alongside Sophie Turner in Prime Video’s* Tomb Raider* series is Sigourney Weaver, the franchise veteran with signature roles in Avatar, Alien, and more recently, Star Wars.
