Grown Ups 3 has grown up at last – with the first official photos announcing a major production update, confirming new and returning cast members, and revealing the sequel’s plot details.
The first two films feature a large ensemble of comedians led by Adam Sandler and his frequent collaborators Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider. In May 2026, it was revealed that Sandler was reviving the franchise with Grown Ups 3 at Netflix, although the full lineup of cast members has remained under wraps, until now.
Netflix has shared the first official set photos from Grown Ups 3, confirming that Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, and Salma Hayek Pinault will reprise their roles in the threequel.
Also returning are Steve Buscemi, Jackie Sandler, Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Quinn, Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, Ellen Cleghorne, Nick Swardson, Jake Goldberg, Alexys Nycole Sanchez, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Ada-Nicole Sanger, Morgan Gingerich, Kaleo Elam, Nadji Jeter, and Kamil McFadden.
New cast members include Julie Bowen (Modern Family, Happy Gilmore), Deon Cole (Black-ish, The Harder They Fall), and Bailee Madison (Bridge to Terabithia,* Just Go with It*). Grown Ups 3 has started filming in New Jersey, and the official logline reads, “Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure.”
Kyle Newacheck (Happy Gilmore 2) is directing, with Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy reteaming to co-write the script after penning Grown Ups 2, Happy Gilmore 2, Hubie Halloween, and more together. Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler, and Tim Herlihy are producing for Happy Madison. However, Grown Ups 3 does not yet have a release date.
Released in 2010, Grown Ups follows five lifelong friends (played by Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider) who, after spending 30 years apart, reunite over the Fourth of July weekend, bringing along their spouses (played by Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, Joyce Van Patten, and Salma Hayek Pinault) and their children.
