After spending nearly a year dominating theaters around the world, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is finally making its long-awaited debut at home. The first chapter of the trilogy that will conclude Tanjiro Kamado’s story became one of the biggest anime films ever released, leaving many fans wondering when they would finally be able to watch it without heading back to the theater. That wait is now officially coming to an end.
Whether you’re looking to own the movie digitally, stream it through a subscription, or add a collector’s edition to your shelf, there are now multiple ways to experience Infinity Castle. Here’s everything fans need to know about the movie’s digital release, streaming availability, and physical launch.
The first home release arrives on July 28, 2026, when Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle becomes available to purchase digitally across several major platforms. Fans can buy both the subtitled and English-dubbed versions through Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google Play, and YouTube beginning that day. Apple TV users won’t have to wait much longer, with the film arriving there on July 29.
Unlike a streaming release, these digital storefronts allow viewers to purchase the film outright, making them the quickest option for anyone who wants permanent access without waiting for a physical edition to arrive outside Japan.
Fans who prefer streaming won’t have to wait long either. Crunchyroll confirmed during Anime Expo 2026 that Infinity Castle will begin streaming on July 28 at 8:00 a.m. PT, ending months of speculation about where the blockbuster would land after its record-breaking theatrical run.
The service will offer one of the movie’s widest home releases yet, with numerous subtitle and dub options available. Audio tracks include Japanese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and several others, while subtitles will also be available in a broad selection of languages. Availability may vary depending on region because of existing licensing agreements.
Outside Crunchyroll’s territories, distribution differs by country. Some regions are expected to receive the film through local streaming partners or digital storefronts instead, so international viewers should check the services that currently carry Demon Slayer in their market.
Collectors still have something special to look forward to. Japan’s physical release launches on July 29, featuring both Blu-ray and DVD editions led by a premium limited-release collector’s set.
The special edition includes an exclusive storage box illustrated by Akihiro Matsushima, the franchise’s character designer and chief animation director, along with other collectible bonuses aimed at longtime fans. While this edition is currently exclusive to Japan, international collectors can still import the release while waiting to see whether Aniplex announces Blu-ray editions for additional markets.
The unusually long gap between theaters and home release was largely a product of the movie’s overwhelming success. Premiering in Japan in July 2025 before expanding internationally later that year, Infinity Castle continued drawing audiences for months, becoming one of the highest-grossing anime films in history and setting multiple box office records worldwide.
Because the theatrical run remained so strong, the home release arrived much later than many recent anime films. While major theatrical releases often appear on streaming services within a few months,* Infinity Castle* spent close to a full year as an exclusive theatrical experience before making the jump to digital platforms and subscription streaming.
Infinity Castle is only the beginning of the franchise’s final act. The film serves as the opening chapter in a planned trilogy adapting the manga’s climactic finale, with the remaining two movies continuing Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the Hashira’s battle against Muzan Kibutsuji.
With the first movie finally available at home, fans who missed its theatrical run, or simply want to relive its breathtaking animation and emotional battles, can now catch up before the next installment arrives. Whether you choose to stream it on Crunchyroll, purchase a digital copy, or hunt down Japan’s collector’s edition, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is no longer confined to the big screen.
