Video game fans have had a lot to be excited about this year, with new releases like Crimson Desert and 007 First Light already out to hold fans over for some of the bigger whales, which are launching later this year. One of the most ambitious new games that immediately comes to mind is Marvel’s Wolverine, which was developed by Insomniac Studios, the same studio that delivered all three games in the critically acclaimed Spider-Man trilogy. Following the launch of Marvel’s Wolverine in September, most other gaming studios have cleared the slate for the biggest launch, perhaps in history, with Grand Theft Auto 6. During the recent State of Play event held earlier this month, PlayStation did confirm the development of a new *God of War *game from Santa Monica, God of War Laufey, but the game has not yet been given a release window.

With the advancements in hardware on consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, video game fans have been treated to some of the most impressive releases of all time in recent years. One of the first games to really push next-generation hardware to the limit was Cyberpunk 2077, developed by CD Projekt Red, the same studio that behind The Witcher games. After a rocky launch, Cyberpunk has redeemed itself and become so popular that it earned an animated Netflix spin-off series and a new comic book coming later this year. The first season of the Netflix show, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, launched all the way back in 2022, and after a four-year hiatus, Netflix finally unleashed the first trailer for Season 2, confirming that it will be released later this summer.

Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.

You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.

The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.

You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.

Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.

The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it is actively developing a new Cyberpunk game, but at the time of writing, it’s unclear when it will be released. The studio’s primary focus right now is on The Witcher 4, which is still without an official launch date but expected sometime in late 2027, and it won’t be until after the game is out that the studio will shift its focus to the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. The first Cyberpunk was in development for around five years before it came out, so it would be surprising if the sequel comes out anytime before 2030.

Check out the new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the series.
