***Spidey and His Amazing Friends ***are getting some new recruits! The hit animated series brings Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy together as the Spidey gang protects New York with some of our favorite Marvel heroes. Today, Collider is thrilled to reveal that Season 5 is set to bring in Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Mr. Fantastic, and another iconic Spider-Man character: Silk! If you’ve been waiting for Spidey and his friends to come in contact with a pretty iconic bit of black goo, don’t worry, it’s happening! Symbie is another new character added to Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ epic lineup of villains. Now, Collider has exclusive images and a new short from Season 5 to share with fans!

The short features Spidey, Rocket, and Groot all trying to stop Doc Ock from robbing a bank. When the trio fixes a lamppost, they come up with a plan to stop the supervillain. Spidey is going to distract her when Rocket uses his time to build a gadget to try to beat Doc Ock this time around. And as is always the case with Spidey and his friends, they prove that teamwork is the way to go when trying to take down a bad guy!

All this with Mr. Fantastic by their side — Reed Richards himself is joining the cast this season, voiced by none other than Mario Lopez! In exclusive new images from the season, we can see Gwen and Peter talking with Mr. Fantastic about something important. There’s also an image of Groot and Spidey fist-bumping after a successful mission while Rocket Raccoon holds Groot up in his hand. Both images feature trios that make Season 5 of *Spidey and His Amazing Friends *a pretty exciting show to watch.
