“That Thrifting Show with Lara Spencer” Renewed For A Second Season
Earlier this year, Disney released a brand new series, “That Thrifting Show with Lara Spencer” on FreeForm, Hulu and Disney+.
The show is hosted by vintage design expert Lara Spencer, who presents two designer duos with identical rooms. With limited time and budget, teams must treasure hunt for vintage and thrift store finds to design their way to beautiful, layered, finished rooms. It’s style and sustainability in a race against the clock. Style experts Robert Hartwell, Dani Klaric and Preston Konrad will judge the thrifted designs.
Disney has announced that it has renewed “That Thrifting Show with Lara Spencer” for a second season. The reveal was made by Lara Spencer on “Good Morning America”, where she confirmed the new season will consist of twelve episodes and return in 2027 on Freeform, Hulu and Disney+.
The series is produced for ABC News Studios by Butternut, a division of Wheelhouse Entertainment, and Envisionary Productions. Lara Spencer serves as executive producer, alongside Courtney White and Cheryl Wayne for Butternut, Jon Rosen for Envisionary Productions, and Melia Patria and senior executive producer David Sloan for ABC News Studios.
The first season of “That Thrifting Show with Lara Spencer” is available to stream on Hulu and on Disney+ around the world.
Roger’s Take: I think it’s a great idea for Disney to renew this show, since it helps fill a void for original content that can inspire viewers and, more importantly, do so on a cheap budget. Hulu needs more reality and unscripted content, so this seems like a smart move.
