Pierce Brosnan will always be famous for his role as 007 in a series of James Bond movies, but he’s starred in some other projects in the last few years that have bumped up his notoriety to new levels. Brosnan’s most exciting role in the last few years has come from playing Conrad Harrigan in MobLand, the Paramount+ crime thriller show directed and produced by Guy Ritchie. MobLand has been under a microscope the last few days following the news that Tom Hardy was fired from the series at the conclusion of Season 2 production, meaning that he will not return in Season 3 should it be renewed. When you’ve been acting in big-budget movies as long as Brosnan has, it’s normal for there to be some misses stirred in with the hits, but one of his biggest financial misfires is finally finding redemption.
Back at the end of 2022, Brosnan starred as Doctor Fate in the polarizing DCEU movie, Black Adam, which was planned to restart the DC cinematic universe — things clearly didn’t go according to plan. Black Adam was a $200 million investment that needed close to $500 million to break even when also factoring in marketing costs, but the film left theaters after earning less than $400 million. HBO Max has been the exclusive streaming home for Black Adam since 2023, but the film is finally seeing success, charting as one of the top 10 most-watched titles in more than 25 countries worldwide. In the months leading up to Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson proclaimed that the film was going to “change the hierarchy of power in the DCEU,” but it will seemingly go down as his only performance as the character.
Your answers point to the world your instincts were built for. This is the universe your temperament, your survival instincts, and your particular brand of stubbornness were made for.
You took the red pill a long time ago — probably before anyone offered it to you. You’re a systems thinker who can’t help but notice the seams in things.
The wasteland doesn’t reward the clever or the well-connected — it rewards those who are hard to kill and harder to break. That’s you.
You’d survive here because you know how to exist in moral grey areas without losing yourself completely.
Arrakis is the most hostile environment in the known universe — and you are precisely the kind of person it rewards.
The galaxy far, far away is vast, loud, and in a constant state of violent political upheaval — and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Black Adam tells the story of a legendary hero who is freed from his tomb, leaving him free to unleash his own form of justice on whoever he sees fit. *Black Adam *was panned by critics, who rated it a Rotten 39% on the aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, but it was mostly a success with audiences, who scored it a solid 87% on the Popcornmeter. In addition to Pierce Brosnan and Dwayne Johnson, who star in the film as Doctor Fate and the titular character, Black Adam also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone.
Check out Black Adam on HBO Max and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates and coverage of Brosnan’s future projects.
