Marvel Reveal “Star Wars: Book Of Boba Fett” Comic Book Series Coming Soon
It’s been over four years since Lucasfilm released the original series, “Star Wars: Book Of Boba Fett” on Disney+, which saw the iconic character return for his own series. The hit show reintroduced the iconic bounty hunter to fans everywhere as he navigated the galaxy’s underworld and claimed control of Tatooine following Jabba the Hutt’s fall.
Disney has announced that Marvel Comics will be releasing an adaptation of the show in a seven-issue series that has been created by Star Wars* veterans Rodney Barnes (Han Solo – Hunt for the Falcon, Ahsoka) and Will Sliney (Rise of Kylo Ren).
The comic series marks the exciting comic book debut of several key characters, including Garsa Fwip, Dokk Strassi, Mok Shaiz’s majordomo and more!
In the comic book series, we see how, after escaping from the Sarlacc Pit, Boba Fett has taken over Jabba the Hutt’s syndicate—but does he have what it takes to keep Tatooine in order?
Rodney Barnes said in a statement regarding the new comic book series:
“I’ve loved Boba Fett since early childhood! Adapting this series has been a complete joy, and I can’t wait for Star Wars fans to read it!”
Some first look images of the comic book’s main cover by Alex Maleev, has been revealed, along with variant covers by E.M. Gist, Jerry Ordway, Pete Woods, and a special foil variant cover by Rickie Yagawa.
If you want to add this comic book series to your collection, you can preorder it now from your local comic shop today! The first issue will be released on September 9th 2026.
“Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett” is available to stream now on Disney+.
Roger’s Take: It’s a shame that this comic book has taken so long to hit stans, as by the time the last issue is out, it will have been five years since the finale was released on Disney+. Unfortunately, it feels more like a tick-box exercise to release this comic book adaptation, since they’ve already done versions of “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, “Ahsoka” and the first two seasons of “The Mandalorian”. I’m just not sure too many people will be picking this comic book series up, but it might be an interesting comic to check out next year on Marvel Unlimited.
