Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan is getting a career retrospective this summer from the Toronto Film Festival.
TIFF will have 12 Nolan features, from *Oppenheimer *and Dunkirk to *Tenet *and Interstellar, fill its Lightbox theaters in July and August. Nolan, who brought his directorial debut *Following *to Toronto in 1998 before it became a film festival circuit hit, will see the Christopher Nolan: Grand Designs program bookended with Tenet on July 9 and *Dunkirk *screen in 70mm on August 20.
Oppenheimer, which took over Toronto cinema screens in 2023 along with Barbie, will screen at TIFF on July 18, with additional dates for *The Right Stuff, The Prestige, Memento, Inception *and Insomnia. Nolan’s Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and *The Dark Knight Rises *will also get play in Toronto.
