Warning! This article contains spoilers from The Boys season 5, episodes 1 and 2.

Like previous seasons, The Boys season 5 introduces several new Supes, each with their own powers and abilities. The Boys’ cast has always focused on two halves of the world: the titular group, who are trying to take down superheroes, or Supes, and the very subject of their rebellion.

The Boys season 5 has arguably the biggest focus on Supes yet; Homelander is, effectively, the President of the United States, with a crack team of Supe brains, politicians, and muscle ensuring his rule continues. On the other side, things have changed, with Billy Butcher now a Supe in his own right, alongside Kimiko and Starlight, the latter serving as the public antithesis to Homelander.

Despite an abundance of superpowered characters long dominating The Boys, season 5 introduces even more new Supes, complete with their own stories, abilities, and power-sets.

Oh-Father is one of the main Supes introduced in The Boys season 5 as the new husband of Ashley and, thus, a religious mouthpiece for Homelander’s regime. Oh-Father married Ashley as it was a strong way to boost the public perception of those running Vought and, thanks to Ashley being the Vice President and Homelander pulling her reins, the United States as a whole.

One of the ways Homelander and Ashley are building support is via the Christian community, something that another Supe, Firecracker, has exhibited in the past. Oh-Father uses his powers to do this. Chief among these is a sonic voice that can influence people, as seen during A-Train’s fake funeral in The Boys season 5, episode 2.

Beyond this, little has been shown of Oh-Father or any further abilities he may have. Undoubtedly, though, the remainder of The Boys season 5 will shed some light on this subject.

Although Ashley is a character who has been integral to The Boys since season 1, season 5 is the first to include her as a full-blown Supe. The ending of The Boys season 4 saw Ashley inject herself with Compound V, yet the show never revealed how this changed her. In The Boys season 5, Ashley is now the Vice President and has the handy ability to read minds.

Ashley makes a few references towards this, be it her comment about knowing what a reporter is thinking or her interview with her new husband, Oh-Father. While this could have been it for Ashley, the ending of The Boys season 5, episode 2 includes a disturbing side effect of the Compound V injection.

The only hint at Ashley’s powers in earlier seasons of the show was her hair falling out, something that appears to be rectified in The Boys season 5. The reason for this is revealed as Ashley wearing a wig, with the deeper reason behind that being even more strange. After injecting herself, Ashley grew a second head, or face, on the back of her own.

Like Voldemort in *Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, *Ashley has a talking, living being on the back of her head. It could be the case that this is how she reads minds, given she now has two of her own. At this point, though, this is just speculation. What exactly Ashley’s second face is, the purpose it has, or where the plot point goes remains to be seen, but obviously, it makes her one of The Boys season 5’s new, strange Supes.

A new team of Supes, referenced earlier but introduced in the first two episodes of The Boys season 5, is Teenage Kix. One of the more prominent members of the team is Sheline, a parody of the well-known superhero, Catwoman. Sheline’s primary traits are what one would expect from this type of parody, as she has a host of feline-like abilities.

Sheline has enhanced senses and reflexes, as well as claws that are strong enough to injure a powerful Supe like Kimiko. As a joke, Sheline also spat up a hairball during this fight, implying she has cat-like physiology. Otherwise, little was shown of Sheline’s abilities, leaving the door open for more of this Supe being shown in The Boys season 5’s future episodes.

Jetstreak is another member of Teenage Kix shown in The Boys season 5, episodes 1 and 2. Jetstreak is seemingly the leader of Teenage Kix, but his powers are fairly stereotypical of what one would consider to be a superhero. He has no real abilities that define him as a Supe, like Homelander’s laser eyes or The Deep’s power over water and aquatic animals.

The only powers Jetstreak was shown to have are flight and enhanced strength. His durability is also stronger than most, too, but significantly weaker than the likes of Soldier Boy, given the latter was not killed by the Supe Virus that killed Jetstreak in seconds.

Rock Hard is a key character in The Boys season 5, episode 2. He is another member of Teenage Kix and a very powerful Supe, known for his invulnerable, rock-like skin and immense strength. As such a powerful Supe, Butcher wishes to test the Supe Virus on Rock Hard to see if it will be powerful enough to take down Homelander.

Rock Hard’s powers are encompassed by his rock-like skin, though he has a number of offshoot abilities. One, typical of The Boys’ brand of humor, allows him to create lava by ejaculating, later hardening it to make his rock fortress even bigger. Rock Hard can also hold his breath for incredibly long periods, given that his body is different from that of a normal human.

Countess Crow is the last member of Teenage Kix introduced in The Boys season 5. She is shown filming a makeup tutorial in her room before attacking Mother’s Milk using a crow. Evidently, Countess Crow’s main power as a Supe is the ability to communicate with and manipulate crows.

Despite this power not being used in a big way in The Boys season 5, episode 2, Countess Crow has an important role in the story. She is shown to be the most morally righteous member of Teenage Kix, explaining that she does what Vought wants her to, but desires a return to a normal life. This leads MM to spare her, allowing her to escape safely, potentially setting up a return later in The Boys season 5.

The final new Supe introduced in The Boys season 5, episodes 1 and 2 is Worm. Worm is an associate of Billy Butcher and was hired by the latter to dig a tunnel into the Vought compound that was holding MM, Frenchie, and Hughie. However, rather than using his hands or other digging tools, Worm used his Supe abilities that are fairly self-explanatory, thanks to his name.

Worm eats soil, which is shot out from behind him via his anus. This gives The Boys another typically Boys-coded superhero, this time parodying a real-life creature. It is unclear what, if any, powers Worm possessed beyond this, but his brief scenes in The Boys season 5 as a new Supe are certainly memorable ones.
