He has covered everything from Marvel to the Oscars, and Marvel at the Oscars. He also writes obsessively about the box office, charting the many hits and misses that are released weekly, and how their commercial performance shapes public perception. In his time at Collider, he has also helped drive diversity by writing stories about the multiple Indian film industries, with a goal of introducing audiences to a whole new world of cinema.

There is no doubt that Taylor Sheridan is almost single-handedly keeping Paramount+ afloat with his blockbuster shows, but if there were, all you need to do is glance at the streamer’s current rankings. Sheridan has as many as five shows charting simultaneously on the streamer, even though their relationship is nearing its end. In 2029, he will begin a partnership with NBCUniversal, having failed to come to an agreement with the new Paramount leadership about his future at the company. Sheridan began working with Paramount nearly a decade ago, and there was no looking back after his magnum opus, Yellowstone, became a sensation. The Yellowstone franchise has since expanded to include spin-offs, but Sheridan has also created several other hit series for Paramount.

Paramount has already tapped the Duffer Brothers for an overall deal, poaching them from Netflix following the conclusion of Stranger Things. The Duffer Brothers will create new shows and theatrical films for Paramount, while Sheridan takes his business over to NBCUniversal. Yellowstone was famously passed on by several players before it was picked up by Paramount; the punt has paid off handsomely. The current number two title on Paramount+ is the Yellowstone franchise’s latest offshoot, Marshals, which was designed as a television-first title as opposed to its predecessors, which were mainly made for streaming.

According to FlixPatrol, Marshals was followed by The Madison, which was initially supposed to fall under the Yellowstone umbrella as well, but was later revealed to be a standalone title. The six-episode first season premiered earlier this year to so-so reviews. Yellowstone came next, with the crime-thriller Tulsa King taking the number six spot. Starring Sylvester Stallone as a mobster, Tulsa King has aired three successful seasons so far, with a fourth season and a spin-off on the way. The fifth and last Sheridan show on the leaderboards was Landman, another neo-Western that continues to deliver massive numbers for the streamer. The show, starring Billy Bob Thornton, has aired two seasons so far. The list may grow in the coming months with the release of the latest Yellowstone sequel, Dutton Ranch. You can watch all of Sheridan’s hit series on Paramount+, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
